And in today’s edition of unspeakable things you never thought you would do to your nether regions: the DIY vagina facial. Next to vajazzling, this may be the biggest WTF moment we’ve had when it comes to vaginas.
The “vajacial”, as it is colloquially coined, is a soothing skin care treatment that you can (please God) accomplish in the privacy of your own home.
Vajacial creator and pioneer of weird-as-hell beauty trends Lisa Palmer claims to now have a “vagina age” of 25. Palmer’s DIY recipe claims to combat dryness, improve elasticity, and even tighten the vagina. Ingredients include a mix of coconut oil, vitamin E cream, honey, and egg white that Palmer instructs you to apply to your vulva. Normal.
Is this a thing I’m going to start wishing I did when I am in my 40s? Like applying anti-wrinkle cream in my early 20s? Sorry, but I just can’t get on board with the act of rubbing raw eggs on my vagina in the name of maintenance—that’s why society invented the Brazilian bikini wax, and that is enough as far as I am concerned.
Whether you’re into this new beauty trend or not (we can almost, kind of, see the appeal), just remember you heard it here first: vagina facials are on their way to be becoming a household name.
